The lacrosse community is a place unique to the band of participants and supporters of any other sport.  Players often remain involved in the game for years after their competitive career, & some even make a life out of it.  

LACROSSE MAKES FRIENDS

Midwest's Best Lacrosse was founded by coaches who came to be great friends through the game.  Through our program, we have created an ecosystem of positive lacrosse culture that extends to all we do, and all those who are part of our organization, whether it be player, parent, or coach.

Our leadership has dedicated years of scholarly study in the coaching field. 

The primary influence on the core values of Midwest's Best Lacrosse is the philosophy of The Institute for Athletic Coach Education at Boston University.

We believe coaching is teaching, and teaching is coaching. Therefore, many of our staff members have careers in both coaching and education.  We understand the challenges of developing the skills of the individual in the group setting, and use our experience and knowledge to succeed in the following:

• Creating a Developmental Appropriate Learning Environment: our players are grouped according to skill level, age, and physical characteristics as best as possible to facilitate proper rate of progress

• Emphasizing a "Next Play" Mentality: mistakes are inevitable, and actually the keys to learning.  We use mistakes as "teachable moments" and endorse a mindset of "it's not where you’ve been that matters; it's where you're going."  

• Creating Confidence and Integrity By Being "Battle Ready" positive and confident body language translates into a positive team environment and success on the field. 

• Adherence to an Honorable Conduct Policy: playing lacrosse is a privilege that need always be respected by player and coach alike. We are true sportsmen at all times.
